The day before the event, Baekducheonji (CEO Il-du Kim), who sponsored 100 servings of samgyetang chicken (worth about 1.5 million KRW), prepared fresh chicken and carefully made herbal samgyetang to hold the sharing event.
Despite the humid weather after the rainy season, the volunteer service was attended by Park Chang-soo, Chairman of the Mokpo City Council, Choi Seon-guk, Jeollanam-do Councilor, and Kim Gwan-ho, Mokpo City Councilor, who personally prepared the food and served nourishing dishes to comfort the seniors exhausted by COVID-19.
In particular, Oseong Distribution (CEO Yong-ju Kim), located in the Daeyang Industrial Complex, sponsored 80 geun of pork (worth about 600,000 KRW), and the Iro-dong Women's Association added 13 watermelons (worth about 300,000 KRW), preparing a plentiful nourishing meal.
President So-young Lee said, "On Chobok, when the full heat begins, I hope the seniors enjoy the delicious food and stay healthy throughout the summer."
Iro-dong Chief Jin-man Jo said, "I thank those who worked hard for the health of the seniors, and I hope the seniors who have completed their COVID-19 vaccinations gather at the senior centers to spend joyful and healthy times."
