Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Holds 'Intelligent Power Grid Export Industry Policy Trends Forum'
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, in collaboration with the Smart Grid Project Group, will hold the 'Intelligent Power Grid Export Industry Policy Trend Forum' on the 9th at Lotte World Tower.
At this forum, domestic companies will have the opportunity to hear directly from policy officials of major countries about overseas policy trends related to carbon neutrality and the Green New Deal.
John Bogatz, Deputy Head and Senior Political Officer of the European Union Delegation to Korea, will give a presentation on "Europe's Green Deal Policy to Become the World's First Climate-Neutral Continent." Elizabeth Urbanas, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, and Shigeru Niki, Director of the Technology Strategy Center at Japan's NEDO, will introduce their respective countries' policies. Overseas experts in the energy sector will also share insights on global carbon neutrality policies.
Domestic companies will also receive information on the trade and regional outlook for the second half of 2021, as well as policies supporting the overseas expansion of the domestic industry.
A business consultation session will also be held. For small and medium-sized enterprises in the power sector participating in the forum, online one-on-one business consultations will be arranged with over 50 overseas buyers from 10 countries.
