Smart Wireless Earphones BPLEX, Official Online Brand Shop Opened
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Biflex, a smart wireless earphone that attracted attention by achieving 5090% funding on Wadiz, opened its official online brand shop on the 8th.
Biflex is a technology-based startup founded in 2016 by biomechanical researchers from KAIST who focused on the fact that the vestibular organ, which senses the body's motion and position and transmits it to the brain, is located inside the ear. They developed technology that can monitor the posture of people walking or running in real time.
The core technology is a very small biomech engine solution, the size of a red bean, embedded in the earphones. Once the wireless earphones equipped with this solution complete a calibration with the user within one minute, real-time posture monitoring during walking or running is possible according to head movements.
In 2018, earphones applying Biflex’s biomech engine solution were already launched and sold in the US and Japan. Last year at CES, Biflex products were recognized as innovative products in the Health & Fitness category. The ‘Biflex Coach,’ released domestically based on Wadiz funding, is a truly wireless earphone that provides real-time voice coaching for running posture. By installing the ‘Biflex’ app on a smartphone, users can view over 20 types of data generated while walking or running at a glance.
As a truly wireless earphone, it also offers solid functionality. It can play music continuously for 7 hours on a full charge, and when placed in the carrying case, it automatically charges, allowing up to 28 hours of use. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 and has IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
When exercising with wireless earphones, there is a risk of accidents if surrounding sounds are not heard. Considering this, the ‘Biflex Coach’ allows users to hear ambient sounds by lightly pressing a button, and it can be used independently on either the left or right side.
