Gyeonggi-do and Busan Operate Promotional Booths for 'Korea's Representative Festival Expo'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will participate in the '1st Korea Representative Festival Expo' held at BEXCO in Busan from the 9th to the 11th to promote Gyeonggi tourism festivals.
The province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the 8th that they will operate a promotional booth in the form of an independent pavilion during the event.
The province and the Tourism Organization will distribute promotional booklets introducing the '2021 Gyeonggi Tourism Festivals,' including the Bucheon International Comics Festival and the Paju Jangdan Bean Festival, to travelers visiting the expo.
They will also hand out 'Connect-the-Dots Coloring Books' (where children and families connect dots to draw pictures and fill in colors) featuring key festival contents such as pottery, music, comics, flowers, autumn leaves, ginseng, beans, wild vegetables, and trains. Various souvenirs will be given to visitors through on-site participation events such as roulette.
Twenty cities and counties within the province, including Suwon City, will also operate separate promotional booths to introduce local festivals, tourist attractions, and agricultural products in various ways.

Choi Yong-hoon, head of the Tourism Division of the province, said, "We plan to imprint the Gyeonggi tourism festival brand on travelers visiting Busan to encourage future visits to Gyeonggi Province," adding, "We expect this promotion to help the local economy, which is struggling due to COVID-19."
