Increase of 3,930 New First COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered... 29.9% of Population Covered
Completed Vaccinations Reach 83,700 ↑, Vaccination Rate at 10.3% of Total Population
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The number of people receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine increased by 3,930, reaching 29.9% of the population.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team on the 3rd, the number of new first-dose vaccinations increased by 3,930 the previous day, bringing the cumulative total to 15,345,239. This corresponds to 29.9% of the total population of 51,349,116. The number of new first-dose vaccinations by vaccine type the previous day was 1,684 for Pfizer, 1,380 for Moderna, 519 for AstraZeneca, and 347 for Janssen.
The number of people who completed the second dose increased by 83,700. Excluding the Janssen vaccine, 65,081 people completed both the first and second doses of Pfizer, and 18,272 people completed both doses of AstraZeneca.
As a result, the total number of people who completed the second dose rose to 5,271,767, accounting for 10.3% of the entire population. By vaccine type, Pfizer accounted for 3,173,765 people, and AstraZeneca for 968,566 people.
Among the 12,517,602 people eligible for AstraZeneca vaccination, 83.1% received the first dose, and 7.7% completed the second dose. Additionally, among the 4,338,005 people eligible for Pfizer vaccination, 87.2% received the first dose, and 73.2% completed the second dose. Among the 1,170,655 people prioritized for Janssen vaccination, 96.5% have been vaccinated.
