"From Pulcance to Supcance" Hotel Group Unveils Summer and Urban Packages
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] As the peak summer vacation season approaches, the hotel industry is unveiling various packages themed around enjoying a 'Pool-cation (pool + vacation)' or 'Forest-cation (forest + vacation)' right in the city.
Shilla Stay is introducing the 'Ready to Vacance' concept with the 'Summer Essential' package, which offers various water play items as gifts for a convenient getaway. Guests receive a water play bag kit useful at the hotel pool or beach, along with a sun stick to protect the skin from UV rays. They can also get a limited-edition Shilla Stay bear produced exclusively for the summer season in limited quantities.
The package includes a room (1 night), an Elle Swimwear water play bag kit (1), an Abib Quick Sun Stick Protection Bar (1), and a Shilla Stay Summer Limited Bear (1), available until the end of August. It is offered at Shilla Stay locations nationwide that have outdoor pools such as Haeundae and West Busan branches, as well as branches near the beach like Ulsan and Jeju, and those adjacent to water parks such as Dongtan and Cheonan.
Mayfield Hotel Seoul has launched a summer package to enjoy a cool summer in a forest area of approximately 99,000㎡ (30,000 pyeong).
The 'Summer Garden Picnic Package' offers a kids’ program to experience forest activities in the outdoor garden. Programs include coloring classes with professional instructors, a pet plant gardening experience where children plant seedlings in the forest vegetable garden, and a mini picnic in the outdoor garden after a walk through the Mayfield forest. Guests also receive a picnic folding cart that they can personalize with stickers, and new products from Orion’s Choco Pie House such as 'Mint Choco Pie,' 'Carrot Cake,' and 'Tiramisu.' The program operates by reservation, and if fewer than five people book at least three days in advance, it is replaced with a 'Denim Canvas Drawing Kit' that stimulates children’s imagination by drawing on a denim material drawing board. The package runs until August 14 and starts at 260,000 KRW (tax excluded).
They also offer a 'Golf & BBQ Package' to enjoy rounding during the day and unlimited beer with BBQ on the European terrace in the evening. Guests can choose between a 90-minute outdoor practice range equipped with a fully automatic tee-up system with 75 bays across three floors and a par-3 golf course where they can practice real golf skills on a field with lakes and greens. The BBQ platter grilled over charcoal by the chef on the Royal Mile Terrace includes premium ribs, pork tomahawk, chuck flap tail, smoked bratwurst, and Greek salad. Four types of craft and imported beers are available unlimited. This package is available until September 17 and starts at 345,000 KRW.
Hotel Poco Seongsu is offering two types of 'Private City Vacance' packages until the end of next month. The 'Private City Vacance' packages are designed for vacationers who prefer a comfortable and hygienic staycation amid ongoing concerns about COVID-19, allowing them to enjoy healing even in the nearby city.
Guests using the 'Vacanto in Poco' package receive one bottle of 'Bacardi Mojito,' a cocktail from Cuba’s premium rum brand 'Bacardi,' along with two ice glasses. They can enjoy a vacation while admiring Seoul’s night view with the romantic Caribbean mojito cocktail. Guests staying in the top-tier rooms, Terrace Suite and Rooftop Royal Suite, also receive bath bombs as an additional gift. They can enjoy water play in the whirlpool bath set up on the outdoor terrace of the room overlooking the city. The price starts at 117,000 KRW on weekdays for a standard room (including VAT).
