Yongin City Converts All Call Center Employees to 'Regular Positions'
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has converted all call center employees to regular positions.
On the 2nd, Yongin City announced that on the 1st, it converted all 25 workers employed as non-regular workers at the call center to regular positions and presented appointment letters.
Additionally, an appointment letter was presented to one person who was publicly hired as a regular employee last month. As a result, all employees at the city call center now work as regular employees.
Since 2018, the city has been converting non-regular workers to regular positions in accordance with the government's 'Policy for Converting Non-Regular Workers in the Public Sector to Regular Positions.'
According to the government plan, in the first year, 108 fixed-term workers were converted, and in 2019, 132 dispatched and service workers were converted to regular positions.
Furthermore, before each annual conversion to regular positions, labor-management and expert councils are formed to decide on the subjects of conversion, timing, wages, retirement age, and other matters.
