Assemblyman Yoon Young-deok Secures 1 Billion KRW Special Local Tax from Ministry of the Interior and Safety

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Yoon Youngdeok, a member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Gwangju Dongnamgap), announced on the 30th that he secured 1 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the Dongnamgap area of Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The confirmed special grants include ▲700 million KRW for the construction of Bandabi Sports Center in Nam-gu ▲300 million KRW for the installation of a traffic easing lane on Bongseon-ro at Yuan Neighborhood Park.
The Bandabi Sports Center, to be built in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, will be the first disability-friendly national sports center in Gwangju, scheduled for completion in 2022.
The Nam-gu Bandabi Sports Center is expected to become a cultural space where people with and without disabilities can enjoy sports and various cultural activities together, featuring a swimming pool, fitness room, multipurpose gymnasium, rooftop garden, and more.
The budget for expanding the road and sidewalks on Bongseon-ro, adjacent to Yuan Neighborhood Park, has also been confirmed. This will help alleviate traffic congestion caused by the construction of the Bongseon 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center and ensure the safety of residents.
