Bucheon City Opens Applications for 3rd Quarter Youth Basic Income... 250,000 KRW Paid Quarterly
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting applicants for the third quarter Youth Basic Income throughout the month of July.
Youth Basic Income is a youth welfare policy project that supports the realization of social basic rights for young people by providing 250,000 KRW quarterly, up to 1,000,000 KRW annually, in local currency (Bucheon Pay).
Applicants for the third quarter Youth Basic Income will receive a lump sum payment of up to 500,000 KRW, and if they do not wish to receive a lump sum, payments will be made quarterly.
Eligible applicants are 24-year-old youths born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 1997. They must have continuously resided in Gyeonggi Province for the past three years or have a combined residence history of over ten years, and currently have an address in Bucheon City.
Applications can be submitted online or via mobile through the Gyeonggi Job Platform 'Jobaba' website (apply.jobaba.net) or the Gyeonggi Youth Portal (youth.gg.go.kr). After screening, payments will be made sequentially to confirmed recipients starting from August 20.

The Bucheon Pay received as Youth Basic Income can be used at local traditional markets, neighborhood supermarkets, convenience stores, hair salons, and other small business establishments within the region, but usage is restricted at department stores, large supermarkets, corporate supermarkets (SSM), entertainment establishments, and similar venues.
