ShoppingNT Launches Dedicated Direct Phone Line Service for People with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Data home shopping channel ShoppingNT announced on the 29th that it will establish a dedicated direct phone number for people with disabilities to improve shopping accessibility for the disabled.
ShoppingNT has set up a dedicated direct phone number for people with disabilities, providing convenience by having a counselor answer the call immediately without ARS guidance. When ordering products after receiving consultation through the dedicated direct phone number for people with disabilities, the same discounts and reward benefits as on mobile are provided, thereby reducing potential direct and indirect discrimination factors.
This establishment of a dedicated direct phone number for people with disabilities by ShoppingNT was planned as part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to reduce inconveniences experienced by visually impaired users when using services and discrimination such as discounts and benefits available only through mobile app usage.
In future PC web and mobile app UI and UX enhancement improvements, ShoppingNT plans to improve accessibility for people with disabilities by considering regulations such as the 'Korean Web Content Accessibility Guidelines,' including ensuring readability for screen reader programs.
Yoonsang Jo, head of ShoppingNT Customer Service Team, said, "We will continue to develop and improve various programs so that everyone can conveniently use our services."
