13 USFK Members Test Positive for COVID-19... Affiliated with Pyeongtaek and Dongducheon Bases
The cumulative number of confirmed cases related to US Forces Korea reaches 932
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Thirteen additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed at U.S. military bases in Pyeongtaek and Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province.
According to the U.S. Forces Korea Command on the 26th, on the 22nd, one family member of the U.S. Forces Korea at the Pyeongtaek military base (Camp Humphreys) was tested and confirmed positive after showing symptoms. Subsequently, during additional testing of contacts, nine soldiers and one family member tested positive by the 24th.
At the Dongducheon military base (Camp Casey), two soldiers showed symptoms, were tested, and confirmed positive on the 24th. They are currently receiving treatment at a dedicated COVID-19 facility. The U.S. Forces Korea are conducting disinfection measures inside and outside the facilities visited by the confirmed cases.
