View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The Gyeonggi Province Branch of the Republic of Korea Veterans Association, Gapyeong County Chapter (hereinafter, the Veterans Association), in commemoration of the Month of National Defense and Veterans in June, is jointly hosting the "71st Anniversary of the 6.25 War Photo Exhibition" with the Gapyeong Veterans Association and the 6.25 War Veterans Association.
According to Gapyeong County on the 18th, the photo exhibition, held until the 19th at Jaraseom Namdo Flower Garden, displays 28 photographs depicting the horrors and social aspects of the 6.25 War.
During the exhibition period, the Veterans Association will also conduct activities such as collecting DNA samples of 6.25 war casualties with the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division and searching for families of the 6.25 war casualties.
Kim Young-bae, the chairman who prepared the photo exhibition, stated, "The peace we have today was achieved through the sacrifices of many, and I hope future generations live with gratitude toward the patriotic martyrs."
He added, "This photo exhibition will be a good opportunity to honor the spirits of the patriotic martyrs who did not spare their lives for the country, and to inform family visitors to the flower garden and the younger generation, who have lived without knowing war, about the correct understanding of the 6.25 War and the preciousness of freedom and peace."

Jo Gyu-gwan, Director of Administrative Welfare Bureau of Gapyeong County, expressed gratitude to the 6.25 war veteran families and said, "We will also actively support veterans policy."
