Haman-gun Promotes Compost Maturity Testing for Livestock Farms in the Area
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that it will conduct maturity tests on compost generated in livestock barns for livestock farms in the jurisdiction in the first half of 2021.
The compost maturity test has been mandatory since March 25 of last year.
According to regulations, applicable farms must comply with inspection standards: registered farms (cattle 100~450, pigs 50~500, poultry 200~3000㎡) must be tested once a year, and permitted farms (cattle 450, pigs 500, poultry 3000㎡ or more) must be tested twice a year.
The inspection procedure requires visiting the relevant eup/myeon office, filling out the information printed on the sample bag, and submitting compost that fills two-thirds of the sample bag's capacity.
