View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] A building under demolition in Gwangju collapsed, burying a city bus and passenger cars, and six people were rescued.
At around 4:23 PM on the 9th, a building under demolition in Hakdong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, collapsed, crushing a nearby city bus. A report was received at the 119 emergency center that some workers were buried under the rubble.
The fire authorities confirmed that one city bus and two passenger cars were trapped under the collapsed building and are currently rescuing the passengers. So far, about 10 people, including passengers on the bus, are believed to be buried.

The Gwangju Fire Headquarters issued a 'Response Level 2' alarm, mobilizing personnel and equipment from the local fire station and 5 to 6 nearby fire stations, and is conducting rescue operations. The fire authorities are checking for additional casualties among the workers.
