Prosecution Seeks 20-Year Prison Sentence Again in Appeal Trial for Park Ju-bin's Accomplice in 'Doctor's Room' Case
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Jo] The prosecution has demanded a 20-year prison sentence in the appellate trial for Han Mo, an accomplice of Jo Joo-bin, the operator of the Telegram 'Baksa Bang'.
On the 9th, at Han's sentencing hearing held by the Criminal Division 8 of the Seoul High Court (Presiding Judge Hyeongwon Bae), the prosecution requested the court to issue such a sentence. The prosecution also requested an order for 30 years of electronic monitoring device (electronic anklet) wearing, disclosure of personal information, and a 10-year employment restriction in facilities related to children and the disabled. This is the same as the demand made in the first trial.
Han was indicted on charges of attempting to sexually assault a juvenile victim under Jo's instructions, sexually abusing the victim by forcing obscene acts, and filming these acts to send to Jo. He was also charged with organizing and operating Baksa Bang as a criminal group along with Jo and others.

The first trial court found most of Han's charges guilty and sentenced him to 11 years in prison. However, the court acquitted him of the part related to organizing the group, judging that he only joined and participated in Baksa Bang but did not take part in the organization process. The appellate sentencing hearing for Han will be held on the 9th of next month.
