Korea Productivity Center Supports Prospective Small Business Entrepreneurs
Recruitment of Trainees for New Business Startup Academy in Daejeon and Chungbuk (Cheongju) Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Productivity Center (Chairman An Wanki, hereafter KPC) announced on the 8th that it is recruiting trainees to participate in the New Business Startup Academy in the Daejeon and Chungbuk (Cheongju) regions to support prospective small business owners in starting their businesses.
The New Business Startup Academy (overall supervised by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, hosted by the Small Enterprise and Market Service) is a project that discovers and disseminates various new business ideas domestically and internationally, selects prospective entrepreneurs focusing on promising items with high growth potential, and supports them with a package of startup education, store experience, mentoring, and startup funds.
Selected trainees receive approximately 160 hours of startup theory education over 4 weeks, 12 weeks of store management experience, and mentoring from experts. Through the store management experience education, they can reduce trial and error that may occur in the early stages of starting a business by experiencing item verification, product display and marketing, customer service, and inventory management. Outstanding graduates are also supported with startup funds up to 20 million KRW for store modeling, prototype production, brand development, website creation, promotion, and marketing.
