Bang & Olufsen Launches Bluetooth Speaker 'Beosound Explore'... Priced at 279,900 KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] Home entertainment brand Bang&Olufsen (B&O) announced on the 8th that it will release a new Bluetooth speaker, the Beosound Explore.
Featuring a compact size, excellent waterproof and dustproof capabilities, and ample playback time, it offers optimized convenience for outdoor activities and rich sound. The colors are available in 'Black Anthracite,' 'Green,' and 'Gray Mist,' with a price of 279,900 KRW.
The Beosound Explore, designed in a simple cylindrical shape, is the first to apply 'Type II Anodized Aluminum,' a specialized aluminum processing technology that minimizes scratches such as scuffs or dents even in harsh outdoor environments. The product measures 8.1 cm in width, 12.4 cm in height, and weighs 631 g.
The battery capacity is 2400mAh, allowing up to 27 hours of playback at normal volume. It also features IP67-rated dustproof and waterproof capabilities, able to withstand submersion at 1 meter depth for 30 minutes. The aluminum carabiner (outdoor safety hook) and strap make it easy to carry or hang the speaker, and physical buttons are placed on the top of the product for easy operation even while wearing gloves.
Additionally, the Beosound Explore is equipped with two 1.8-inch full-range drivers and two 30W Class D amplifiers for full-range sound. Wireless connectivity supports Bluetooth version 5.2, SBC, Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, and AAC codecs.
Two units can be connected for stereo mode, and the multipoint function allows simultaneous connection of up to two devices such as smartphones and tablets.
