Porsche Korea and Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Hold 'Dream Art Ddareungi' Contest
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Porsche Korea announced on the 7th that it will carry out a public art social contribution project through an open art and design contest utilizing Seoul's public bicycle 'Ddareungi' in collaboration with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture under the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
This year, Porsche Korea, which signed a social contribution business agreement (MOU) with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, will support a total of 300 million KRW for the 'Porsche Dream Art Ddareungi (tentative name)' public art project following 'Porsche Do Dream Saichaeum,' which supports the performing arts sector.
By collaborating with citizen artists and Seoul's public bicycle Ddareungi, the project plans to provide opportunities for citizens to enjoy artworks in their daily lives and contribute to the value of sustainability pursued by the brand through the activation of Seoul's public bicycle usage.
From today until the 2nd of next month, a design contest will be held for a total of four weeks under the theme "Ddareungi Running Through Eco-friendly City Seoul, Adorned with Artistic Imagination." The winning design will be applied to approximately 300 new Ddareungi bicycles' bodies and wheels and will be unveiled in the second half of this year.
Detailed information about participating in the 'Porsche Dream Art Ddareungi' design contest can be found on the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture website. Any Korean citizen interested in Ddareungi design is eligible to participate.
