An unusual art exhibition was held at Silla University as a healing project to overcome COVID-19.
Silla University (President Kim Chung-seok) announced on the 5th that it has transformed the first-floor lobby of the Comprehensive Lecture Building at Silla University into an exhibition hall until August 31 for students, faculty, staff, and citizens who are physically and mentally exhausted.
The event, held through the talent donation of Professor Seo Eun-kyung, majoring in Plastic Arts in the Department of Design and Art, is themed ‘Romantic garden’ and features a total of eight large-scale works welcoming visitors.
The works depict wildflowers that are easily overlooked in the complex city. They show urban nightscapes embracing nature. Expressed using hologram techniques, visitors can also appreciate the beauty of fantastic transformations.
Professor Seo Eun-kyung said, “It is unfortunate that opportunities to enjoy art and culture have greatly decreased these days,” adding, “I hope people can take some time to emotionally relax and heal their minds through art appreciation.”
