North Korea Condemns Japan for Marking Dokdo as Territory on Tokyo Olympic Map: "Unacceptable Provocation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] North Korea strongly criticized Japan for marking Dokdo as its territory on the Tokyo Olympics homepage, calling it "an insult to humanity's wish for peace and an intolerable provocation that violates our nation's sovereignty."
On the 4th, the Korean Central News Agency stated in a commentary, "Japan's actions attempt to exploit the sacred Olympic Games, which symbolize friendship and unity, to realize its ambition of territorial seizure."
The agency pointed out, "It is hard to find a despicable country like Japan that uses the world's interest and enthusiasm for sports to fulfill its invasion ambitions," adding, "Japan's intention to forcibly seize Dokdo, which is rich in marine resources and strategically important militarily, is as clear as day."

It further mentioned the approval of textbooks describing 'Dokdo as Japanese territory' and the Self-Defense Forces' training to recapture the island, emphasizing, "The more Japan insists on its unfounded historical, international, and legal claim to 'sovereignty over Dokdo,' the more it will only intensify the deep-seated hostility of our nation, which will inevitably settle accounts with its thousand-year-old enemy, Japan."
