Naver Suspends Executive Over Employee's Extreme Choice Incident
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver has suspended executives related to employee A, who died by suicide.
The Naver Risk Management Committee investigating the incident recommended suspending the duties of responsible leaders suspected of workplace harassment, and Han Seong-sook, CEO of Naver, informed employees of this on the 1st.
A was found dead near his home close to Naver headquarters in Bundang-gu, Seongnam City, on the 25th of last month. A note presumed to have been left by A was found at the scene, which reportedly contained content about experiencing work-related stress.
Within the company, controversy over "workplace harassment" has arisen surrounding A's death.

The Naver Labor Union stated, "It is understood that the deceased experienced excessive work stress and harassment due to hierarchy during their lifetime," adding, "If proven true, this is clearly a work-related injury."
