Kang Shin-woong, CEO of T-cast, to Serve as the 11th Chairman of the PP Council
3-Year Term Until 2024
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] The Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association's Program Provider (PP) Council announced on the 1st that it appointed Kang Shin-woong, CEO of T-cast, as the 11th chairman at an extraordinary general meeting held in writing.
Chairman Kang graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in English Literature. He is a broadcasting expert who has served as a PD at Cheil Communications, PD at Samsung Video Business Division, head of current affairs and programming teams at JoongAng Broadcasting, executive director at iChannel, executive director at T-cast, CEO of T-broad, and since 2010 has held CEO positions at iChannel, T-cast, and Champ Vision.
He stated, "I have taken on the chairman position during a very difficult time for the PP market due to the economic downturn caused by COVID-19 and the resulting contraction of the advertising market. I will work to strengthen PP competitiveness and revitalize the market by closely consulting with authorities and operating the PP Council as a representative organization encompassing the entire PP sector."
