View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Credit Recovery Committee announced on the 1st that it will conduct the ‘2021 National Certified Credit Counselor Qualification Exam.’
The Credit Counselor Qualification Exam is conducted with the purpose of training credit counseling experts who prevent personal credit problems and assist the rehabilitation of over-indebted individuals. To date, a total of 2,149 candidates have passed. The exam is scheduled to be held on October 16 in Seoul, Busan, and Daejeon.
Upon obtaining the qualification, 14 credits in Business Administration and Law majors are recognized under the Academic Credit Bank System. It is also preferred in recruitment for Credit Welfare Consultants at the Credit Recovery Committee and Credit Debt Consultants at the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency.
Starting from this exam, to enhance the practical skills of qualification holders, numerous practical case studies have been added to the exam textbook, and these will be significantly reflected in the exam questions.
Chairman Lee Gye-moon emphasized, “Professional credit counseling that aids economic rehabilitation has become more important than ever,” adding, “We plan to increase the proportion of counseling practice in the qualification exam so that credit counselors can acquire expertise and engage in various fields.”
