Police Arrest 80-Year-Old Man for Killing Ex-Wife Over Property Dispute
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] An man in his 80s who stabbed his ex-wife to death with a weapon during a property dispute has been arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 1st, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul arrested Mr. A on suspicion of murder and is currently investigating him.
Mr. A is suspected of having an argument with his ex-wife, Ms. B, in her 70s, on the roadside in front of a villa in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, at around 8:50 p.m. the previous day, and stabbing her with a weapon he had prepared in advance, causing her death.
The police responded to a report from nearby residents saying "It seems like a couple is fighting" and arrested Mr. A at the scene. Ms. B was transported to a nearby hospital but died.
