The county is currently accepting advance reservations for AstraZeneca vaccinations until the 3rd of next month for seniors aged 60 to 74, chronic severe respiratory disease patients, kindergarten, daycare, and elementary school (grades 1-2) teachers and care personnel.
Reservations can be made through the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency website or call center, Haenam-gun Public Health Center call center, eup/myeon offices, and designated medical institutions (26 locations).
As of the 29th, Haenam-gun reported that out of 17,424 eligible individuals, 13,145 (75.4%) have made advance reservations, with reservation rates of 81% for ages 70 to 74, 78% for ages 65 to 69, and 69% for ages 60 to 64.
Vaccinations have been administered sequentially since the 27th, prioritizing seniors aged 65 to 74 and chronic severe respiratory disease patients. To minimize vaccine waste, a standby list for leftover vaccines has also been secured.
To increase the advance reservation rate, the county has opened a direct link menu for reservations on the Haenam-gun homepage and is actively promoting through the smartphone app Haenam Sotongnet, safety guidance text messages, and village announcements in eup/myeon areas. All staff members are also participating in a reservation promotion relay challenge via SNS.
Meanwhile, since February, Haenam-gun has continuously administered AstraZeneca vaccinations, completing the first dose for 4,529 out of 4,825 nursing facility workers (93%) and started the second dose on the 24th.
Additionally, among a total of 11,450 seniors aged 75 and older, 6,571 (57%) completed the first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine by the 21st, and the second dose vaccinations for 5,386 individuals resumed on the 24th.
