[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Council announced on the 31st that it will hold the 353rd 1st regular session for 16 days from the 1st to the 16th of next month.
This regular session will review the settlement of accounts for the last fiscal year and approval of supplementary budget expenditures of the Jeonnam Provincial Government and Jeonnam Office of Education, as well as the first supplementary budget for 2021.
The scale of the supplementary budget is 10.4168 trillion won for the provincial government, which is an increase of 1.2146 trillion won from the original budget, and 3.8715 trillion won for the Office of Education, which is an increase of 225.2 billion won.
In particular, the provincial government submitted the supplementary budget proposal exceeding 1 trillion won for the first time, due to a significant increase in national treasury subsidy projects such as last year's heavy rain damage recovery costs and COVID-19 response.
