Choi Dong-ryeol, Yulchon Lead Attorney, Receives 'Korean Lawyer of the Year' Award
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Choi Dong-ryeol, the representative lawyer of Yulchon LLC (58, Judicial Research and Training Institute class 20, photo), received the 'Korean Lawyer of the Year' award at the Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific Awards 2021.

The Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific Awards is an annual ceremony hosted by the global financial magazine Euromoney, selecting the case, law firm, and lawyer of the year. One lawyer is chosen per country as Lawyer of the Year. With this award, Representative Lawyer Choi was recognized for his expertise and leadership as a leading litigator representing the Korean legal market.

Choi is known for his expertise in corporate, finance, and criminal cases. He led acquittals in the retrial of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon and in the trial of former STX Chairman Kang Deok-soo on charges of accounting fraud. Recently, he also won the criminal case trial involving the van-hailing service 'Tada.'
