View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Tongyeong City in Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it held a public hearing for residents regarding the amendment plan to revitalize the Bongpyeong District Urban Regeneration Project.
This event was organized to listen to residents' opinions on the establishment of the Bongpyeong District amendment plan and to derive modifications and supplements for a more systematic plan formulation. About 60 local residents attended while adhering to quarantine guidelines.
At the public hearing, explanations were provided not only on the amendment plan for revitalization by Jeon Je-sun, Director of Urban Regeneration in Tongyeong City, but also on the progress of the abandoned shipyard regeneration project so far. For the designated discussion, Professor Kim Hyung-bo of the Department of Urban Engineering at Dong-Eui University served as the chair, with panelists including Jang Geun-young, director of the Urban Design Society, and Oh Eun-seok, head of the Tongyeong Urban Regeneration Support Center, discussing the issues.
In particular, the designated discussion presented an analysis of the effects on the region due to the functional transition of the resident community platform to the Tongyeong12 School platform, as well as changes and utilization of the Dangsan Tree Complex Cultural Space project.
