Linos Wins Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters Disaster Safety Communication Network Terminal Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Linos has won a contract related to disaster communication network terminals for the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters. This is the result of accumulating references by securing major contracts in disaster safety communication network construction and terminal purchase projects for the police and the National Fire Agency.
On the 28th, Linos announced that it signed a contract worth 1.7 billion KRW for the Busan Metropolitan City Fire and Disaster Headquarters' "Disaster Safety Communication Network Integration and Terminal Purchase Project."
Linos will carry out the construction of a system linking the disaster safety communication network with the existing wireless network, as well as the delivery and installation of terminals, at the Busan Metropolitan City Fire and Disaster Headquarters and its jurisdictional fire stations by September this year. The Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters is expected to provide efficient disaster preparedness operations by enabling proactive disaster response through an organic cooperation system and smooth mutual communication with the National Fire Agency and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Disaster Safety Communication Network Project Group.
Lee Sang-gu, Executive Director of Linos ICT Business Division, said, "We expect to implement a rapid and accurate wireless command system during disasters," adding, "Following last year's National Fire Agency project, we are expanding our business areas to disaster, fire, railway, and defense sectors, and related projects and demands are expected to gain momentum."

The disaster network project is a nationwide unified communication network using the PS-LTE method, through which national institutions such as the police, fire departments, and local governments can transmit and respond to disaster situations via dedicated terminals. Since starting the Disaster Network Project A in 2018 as part of the KT consortium, Linos has continuously secured related projects, including supplying disaster network terminals for the National Police Agency.
