Pohang City Offers Marine Sports Experience Every Weekend at Songdo Marine Park
Free Marine Sports Experience for 3 Weeks from June 5: Pedal Boats, Kayaks, and Powerboats Available
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Pohang City announced on the 28th that it will operate 'Urban Marine Sports Experience' at Songdo Marine Park on weekends for three weeks starting June 5.
The marine park used as the experience venue during the period is a waterfront marine cultural park located in the city center. It is usually visited by families to enjoy the musical fountain and for physical training, and is also frequently used as a place for marine experiences.
This marine sports experience consists of events such as pedal boats (4-seater), kayaks (2-seater), and power boats (11-seater, 7-seater). During the experience period on weekends, it will be operated as a free experience from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It starts on the hour for each session, allowing about 40 participants per hour.
Applications for participation can be made from 10 a.m. on the 28th through the Pohang Marine Sports Academy website. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, only a predetermined number of participants will be accepted through 100% online pre-registration, and on-site registration will not be conducted.
During the experience period, there will also be a variety of attractions such as crafting experiences with Kima Week (mini yachts, yacht sail card wallets, paracord bracelets), waterboard performances, photo printing zones, and Dokdo photo exhibitions.
