According to health authorities and local governments including Seoul City, from midnight to 6 p.m., a total of 490 people nationwide tested positive for COVID-19. This is 40 fewer than the 530 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day.
Of the confirmed cases, 303 (61.8%) were from the Seoul metropolitan area, and 187 (38.2%) were from non-metropolitan areas. By city and province, the numbers are as follows: Seoul 162, Gyeonggi 129, Daegu 51, Ulsan 20, Chungnam 19, Gangwon and Gyeongnam 16 each, Busan 13, Incheon and Gyeongbuk 12 each, Jeonbuk 11, Gwangju 9, Jeonnam 7, Chungbuk 6, Daejeon 5, and Jeju 2.
