[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Ji Young-ran (61), CEO of Byeoksan Insuro, has been inaugurated as the 11th president of the Gimhae Women Entrepreneurs Association (hereafter the Association).
According to the Association on the 21st, the inauguration and handover ceremony was held on the 20th at the Gimhae Small and Medium Business Center, attended by about 60 women entrepreneurs.
In her inaugural speech, newly appointed President Ji said, “The local manufacturing industry is struggling greatly due to the COVID-19 crisis, but with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, we are overcoming today’s challenges well,” adding, “Now, companies must innovate to prepare for the post-COVID era. Going forward, the Association will do its best to provide women entrepreneurs with field-oriented business management information and to promote communication and harmony among members.”
Byeoksan Insuro, represented by President Ji, is a manufacturer of insulation materials located in Sangdong-myeon, Gimhae City.
Mayor Heo Seong-gon said in a congratulatory video message, “For the past 20 years, the Association has played a significant role in enhancing the rights of women entrepreneurs and developing women’s business culture through gentle yet strong leadership,” adding, “The city will also do its best to create a business-friendly environment in preparation for manufacturing innovation after the post-COVID era.”

The Association was founded in April 2001 to improve the rights of local women entrepreneurs and contribute to community development. Currently, about 60 members are active. It supports women CEOs by providing business management information and holding workshops, and continuously participates in community contribution activities.
