Half of 60-74 Age Group Book Vaccinations... 60-64 Age Group Reservation Rate at 39.7% (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Director Jung Eun-kyung) announced on the 20th at midnight that the pre-registration rate for COVID-19 vaccination among those aged 60 to 74 reached 50.1%.
According to the Promotion Team, out of 9,110,942 eligible individuals, approximately half, 4,568,201 people, have completed pre-registration.
The vaccination reservation rates by age group were ▲70-74 years old 62.6%, ▲65-69 years old 55.1%, and ▲60-64 years old 39.7%.
For those aged 65 to 74, vaccinations began nationwide at designated medical institutions from the 27th of last month and will continue until the 19th of next month; however, vaccination reservations for this month have ended. Vaccination reservations for the first week of June are expected to close this week.
Pre-registration is available until the 3rd of next month, but the earlier you register, the more likely you can receive vaccination on your preferred date. You can choose the hospital you usually visit or a nearby medical institution regardless of your address.
Online reservations (https://ncvr.kdca.go.kr) are available 24 hours a day, and phone reservations (1339 or local government call centers) can be made during weekday working hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Guardians such as children can also make vaccination pre-registrations on behalf of others.
The government is currently devising measures to increase the vaccination rate in response to the recent slowdown in reservation rates.
