SK C&C Launches 'iFactory Deplo', Data Processing Engine Specialized for Manufacturing Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] SK Inc. C&C announced on the 20th that it has launched a manufacturing industry-specialized data processing engine called 'I-FACTs DiFlow.'
I-FACTs DiFlow stands for 'Data Interactive Flow' and incorporates know-how from smart factory construction sites applied to various manufacturing industries over the past several years.
It was developed to enable real-time utilization and management of various data collected from additional ▲applications ▲equipment ▲sensors ▲websites, etc., that are added along with the construction and expansion of smart factories.
DiFlow collects various raw data and source data that exist individually in the manufacturing industry group, while simultaneously refining and converting them into manufacturing standard metadata. This is similar to the principle of a car engine receiving fuel and delivering power to move throughout the vehicle. It collects manufacturing site data and converts it so that it can be analyzed and used in related applications or smart factory platforms.
The greatest strength of DiFlow is that it can process and deliver all types of data produced throughout the manufacturing site seamlessly without separate work when new equipment or systems are introduced. The scalability provided through standardized APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) is a key factor supporting the implementation of flexible and stable digital services desired by users.
It also guarantees a fast and secure data processing environment. It identifies data transmission bottlenecks occurring during data collection and delivery in real time to derive improvements, and it has a function to automatically retransmit data in case of failures.
Even during changes such as adding interfaces (integration) due to the introduction of new services, it supports service redundancy to eliminate the possibility of service failures caused by data.
A data service management dashboard for users is also provided. Through the basic dashboard provided, both developers and service operators can collect data requiring analysis in real time and check the delivery status at a glance.
It is easy to check whether a service or data failure has occurred and detailed information, and any failures can be handled by referring to the data processing history or using the recovery function.

Joaegwan Cho, Head of Manufacturing Solution Digital Group at SK C&C, said, "The core of building a manufacturing smart factory is that all data from the internal systems currently in use and the field must be organically collected and utilized at any time." He added, "I-FACTs DiFlow can expand the scope of manufacturing data collection and processing at any time without separate system construction or work that was previously required along with smart factory expansion."
