Seoul COVID-19 Cases Reach 254... Highest Number Recorded on a Friday This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced on the 15th that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Seoul on the 14th was 254.
This is the highest number in 17 days since the 27th of last month (257 cases).
By day of the week, this is the highest number recorded on a Friday so far this year. The daily number of COVID-19 confirmed cases varies significantly depending on the day of the week due to the number of tests conducted the previous day.
Among the new confirmed cases on the 14th, 253 were domestic infections and 1 was imported.
As of midnight on the 15th, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul stands at 40,830. Currently, 2,805 patients are in isolation and treatment, while 37,557 have been declared recovered and released from isolation. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in Seoul remains unchanged at 468 compared to 24 hours earlier.
