'The 1st Science and Technology Diplomacy Forum' Held on YouTube on the 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] On the 13th, the Ministry of Science and ICT will hold the "1st Science and Technology Diplomacy Forum" online, aimed at science and technology, diplomatic officials, and the general public to engage in in-depth discussions on the national science and technology diplomacy strategy.
This forum is an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance our status in the international community by utilizing science and technology, whose importance is growing as a core national competitiveness. The forum will be conducted in two sessions. After 20-minute presentations on "The Present and Future of Science and Technology Diplomacy" and "Achievements and Challenges of Science and Technology Diplomacy and International Cooperation," a discussion will be held among experts in science and technology international cooperation and diplomacy from industry, academia, and research sectors.
The first session will focus on international science and technology diplomacy issues and cases, while the second session will examine Korea's science and technology international cooperation policies, achievements, and limitations over time, proposing directions and tasks for advancing science and technology diplomacy. In the expert panel discussion, frontline experts in science and technology international cooperation from industry, academia, and research will present opinions on the future direction and challenges of science and technology diplomacy.
