View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] SSG.com will expand its dawn delivery service to the Chungcheong region starting in July. Dawn delivery is a service where if consumers order products before midnight, they are delivered by 6 a.m. the next day. Currently, this service operates in Seoul and other metropolitan areas.
According to SSG.com on the 6th, dawn delivery will begin in five cities in the Chungcheong region: Daejeon Metropolitan City, Sejong City, Asan City, Cheongju City, and Cheonan City. Products ordered for dawn delivery in these areas will be transferred from 'Neo 003,' an online-only logistics center located in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, to the spoke centers (regional logistics centers equipped with cold chain systems) in the Chungcheong region before being delivered to customers.
Until now, dawn delivery has mainly been centered around the metropolitan area, but recently the industry has been expanding delivery zones. Earlier, Market Kurly partnered with CJ Logistics to expand its dawn delivery service, Saetbyeol Delivery, to five cities in the Chungcheong region, including Daejeon Metropolitan City, starting this month.
