[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is holding the ‘2021 The Gangnam Resident Participation Contest’ to discover innovative district promotion content, and is accepting submissions until July 16.
This contest was planned with the purpose of promoting Gangnam-gu’s mobile application ‘The Gangnam’ and encouraging resident participation to build resident-friendly content.
The contest is held in two categories: ‘YouTube videos’ and ‘character design.’
For the YouTube video category, participants are to produce a video within 5 minutes under the theme ‘Rediscovery of Gangnam-gu Traditional Markets’ to help revitalize the local commercial district. For the character design category, participants are to design ‘GangnamBot,’ the AI chatbot to be featured in ‘The Gangnam’ app.
Participation is open to individuals or teams (up to 4 members), and the selected works will be announced on August 11. A total of 17 works will be selected across the two categories, with prizes up to 2 million KRW awarded.
Except for the winners, 70 participants (teams) from each category will be given gift certificates worth approximately 10,000 KRW through a drawing.
