On the 3rd, Chairman Chung posted on Hyundai Motor Group's official Facebook channel, saying, "I am participating in the 'GoGo Challenge,' a plastic-free campaign, at the suggestion of Ban Ki-moon, Chairman of the National Climate and Environment Council."
Chairman Chung explained, "Hyundai Motor Group constantly contemplates and strives to fulfill its corporate social responsibility for a sustainable society and environment," adding, "The expansion of eco-friendly vehicles such as electric cars and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well as the hydrogen campaign, are part of this effort."
He stated, "We are also interested in the upcycling of plastics and are collaborating in various fields," and added, "We will reduce plastic use and increase the use of upcycled products."
He continued, "I and Hyundai Motor Group will actively participate in activities for a plastic-free society," emphasizing, "I hope these efforts will lead to reducing plastic and increasing the use of more upcycled products."

Chairman Chung recommended as the next participants of the GoGo Challenge those who actively act to solve environmental and social issues more than anyone else, pointing to designer Kim Haneul, who transforms discarded masks into chairs, and Kim Jungtae, CEO of MYSC, a social startup fostering and investing in the ESG sector.
