Hapcheon-gun Implements Basic Farming Technology Education for Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Residents
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 30th that from the 26th to the 30th, it conducted customized basic farming technology education that can be practically applied to actual farming for 36 returnees to farming and rural residents as well as hopefuls, through a combination of non-face-to-face theoretical education and on-site practical training.
This education provided practical training to help beginners in agricultural management, covering the use of pesticides and agricultural machinery, farmland laws, basic farming techniques such as root vegetable and leafy vegetable cultivation, beekeeping, as well as strategies for returning to farming and rural areas, agricultural startup plans, and farming experience stories from senior returnees, aiming for the successful settlement of returnees to farming and rural areas.
In particular, the theoretical education was conducted non-face-to-face, which helped elderly returnees who were not familiar with mobile devices to learn the functions of mobile devices and experience video classes. The on-site agricultural machinery safety training, including riding tillers and agricultural cultivators, was provided by the Central Agricultural Machinery Rental Bank, enhancing participation and satisfaction. Trainees evaluated the program as “a substantial education helpful for early settlement after returning to farming.”
