[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, participated in the "Support Challenge for the Restoration of Democracy in Myanmar" on the 28th.
This challenge is being carried out nationwide to show support and solidarity to the people of Myanmar who are defending democracy against the military coup that occurred in Myanmar last February. Participants post photos on SNS showing the three-finger salute symbolizing "freedom," "election," and "democracy," along with messages supporting Myanmar democracy, and then nominate the next participant to join the challenge.
Mayor Yoo conveyed his support with the phrases "Military Regime OUT," "Civilian Government GO," and "Everything Will Be Ok!" along with the three-finger salute, saying, "I sincerely hope that the people of Myanmar, who are fighting for democracy against the military oppression, will soon achieve victory for democracy and that peaceful spring days will come to Myanmar."
