Provincial Fire Headquarters Deploys and Operates 119 Ambulance Teams at Regional Vaccination Centers and Area Prevention Vaccination Centers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters announced that from March 2, 119 ambulance teams have been deployed at regional vaccination centers and local vaccination centers to do their best to prevent the spread of infection among residents.
Currently, a total of 21 vaccination centers are providing convenience for COVID-19 vaccination to the elderly, residents of elderly facilities, and workers: one regional center operated by Gyeongnam Province (Yangsan), 17 local centers (including Jinju), and three local centers operated by Changwon City (including Jinhae-gu Community Welfare Center).
The Fire Headquarters is doing its utmost to secure community-based immunity through vaccination, monitoring adverse reactions, and transporting patients with adverse reactions to hospitals.
Since March, the fire department's field activity record includes transporting 23 patients with adverse reactions (16 in Gyeongnam, 7 in Changwon). On average, three crew members per day wear protective suits and work at the 21 vaccination centers.
