Korea Federation of Savings Banks, Special 10% Annual Interest Savings Account to Celebrate Open Banking
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Federation of Savings Banks announced on the 28th that it will launch a special promotion and hold a customer prize event to commemorate the implementation of the open banking service.
The special promotion offers a savings product with a preferential interest rate of 10% per annum (before tax). Customers can deposit up to 100,000 KRW per month for one year. The preferential conditions include registering for open banking, subscribing to a regular savings account and maintaining it until maturity, and applying for an affiliated Lotte Card and spending at least 300,000 KRW cumulatively within three months.
Participating banks include 16 institutions: IBK, Goryeo, Daebaek, The-K, Dongwon Jeil, Dream, Must Samil, Minguk, Yegaram, Oseong, Woori, Johung, Jinju, Kiwoom, Kiwoom Yes, and Pyeongtaek Savings Bank. The base and preferential interest rates vary by institution.

Additionally, among customers who subscribe to the savings bank open banking service, 4,009 people will be selected by lottery to receive prizes.
