DB Insurance to Provide One-Year Insurance Support for Adopted Stray Dogs in Partnership with Seoul City

DB Insurance's 'Promy Pet Insurance,' provided to families adopting stray dogs, covers treatment and surgery costs due to injury or illness, and also covers liability damages for compensation if the adopted stray dog causes harm to a person's body or damage to another person's pet.
The insurance period is one year from the date of application, and if the insurance is applied for when adopting a stray dog from an animal protection center, Seoul City supports the insurance premium for one year. Applications are accepted until December 31 of this year, but enrollment is not possible if the budget is exhausted early.
Additionally, DB Insurance, in partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the digital pet healthcare solution company 'Fitpet,' will provide the urine test kit 'Fitpet Ahead,' which allows easy health status checks of stray dogs via a smartphone app, to families adopting stray dogs on a first-come, first-served basis.

A DB Insurance official stated, "We will actively participate in supporting families adopting stray dogs by establishing a public-private cooperation system with Seoul City to increase the adoption rate of stray dogs and establish stray dog adoption as a new pet care culture."
