35 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in 8 Cities and Counties of Gyeongnam... Total 3,665 Cases
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 24th that 35 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed after 5 p.m. on the 23rd.
Confirmed cases were reported in 8 out of the 18 cities and counties in Gyeongnam.
There were 16 cases in Jinju City, 7 in Sacheon City, 4 in Changwon City, 2 each in Gimhae City, Goseong County, and Sancheong County, and 1 each in Miryang City and Geoje City.
The infection routes include 3 cases related to the 'Live Dubakwi' restaurant in Jinju City (cumulative 20 cases), 3 cases related to a restaurant in Sacheon City, 2 cases from contact with infected persons from other cities or provinces, and 1 case from overseas entry.
Twenty-two people tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within Gyeongnam or due to symptoms prompting testing.
Four cases are currently under investigation for their infection routes.
Among the confirmed cases in Jinju City, one is a middle school student.
At the middle school this student attends, the first confirmed case was reported on the 22nd.
So far, 206 people related to this middle school have been tested, resulting in 3 confirmed cases.
