Selecting 50 Members by 2025 for Documentation
On the 20th, the National Academy of Arts of the Republic of Korea announced the publication of oral transcription collections of poet Hwang Dong-gyu and traditional musician Lee Jae-sook as part of its member documentation project. The collections shed light on footprints not found in official records, such as themes related to creative activities and life stories. The project plans to continue by selecting fifty members by 2025. An academy official stated, "It will be used to build an archive along with creative works and activity materials," adding, "We will strengthen the collection and management of materials to ensure they are passed down to future generations and used meaningfully, and establish a material storage system."
