Deputy Foreign Minister to Visit Mexico and Two Other Latin American Countries Starting from the 18th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho]Choi Jong-geon, First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to visit three countries?Colombia, Costa Rica, and Mexico?from the 18th to the 26th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 16th.
During his tour, Vice Minister Choi will hold talks with the deputy foreign ministers of the respective countries, and in Costa Rica, he will also attend the 13th Korea-Central America Integration System (SICA) Dialogue Consultative Meeting with deputy foreign ministers from eight Central American countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects this to be meaningful in supporting the participation of Korean companies in large-scale national projects in infrastructure, eco-friendly, and digital sectors being promoted by Latin American countries.
Vice Minister Choi also plans to work on enhancing understanding and garnering support from Latin American countries for the government’s Korean Peninsula peace process.
