KT Launches 'Zero Waste Picnic Set'... Continues to Discover Eco-Friendly Brands
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 14th that it will launch the 'Zero Waste Picnic Set' themed around eco-friendly value consumption through 'KT Shop' starting from the 15th. This product is a reusable container set for two people created in collaboration with the social venture 'Trashbusters,' which provides a service to replace disposable products.
The Zero Waste Picnic Set consists of an orange-colored bowl plate, two wine glasses, two sets of spoons and forks, one picnic bag, and one beverage cup. A cup strap will be additionally provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Unlike the existing method of renting reusable containers like Trashbusters products, this product allows customers to purchase and keep it for continuous use.
The price of the Zero Waste Picnic Set is 37,000 KRW (including VAT), and customers can purchase it at a discounted price of 33,000 KRW by using KT Membership points. Customers who purchase the set can participate in Trashbusters' resource circulation program by returning the Zero Waste Picnic Set after a certain period of use, where it is processed back into raw materials and remade into new Trashbusters products. Participating customers will receive a 50% discount coupon to purchase other Trashbusters products.
The Zero Waste Picnic Set is on pop-up display at four major KT flagship locations: KT Square, KT Plaza Gangnam Station Branch, Garosugil Branch, and Sungkyunkwan Media Branch, where customers can experience and purchase it directly. Information about these stores can be found on the KT website under Store Locator. Detailed introductions to collaborating brands and goods can be viewed on the 'Y Box App' of KT's 20s brand 'Y.'
