Gwangjin-gu to Recruit Up to 357 Participants for Hope Work Job Program
For Residents Facing Livelihood Crisis Due to Prolonged COVID-19... Work for 4 Months... Visit Local Community Center by the 19th for Application
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seongap) is promoting the '2021 Hope Work' job project for residents who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The recruitment target is residents aged 18 or older who are capable of working, prioritizing those in vulnerable employment groups and residents in need of livelihood support due to COVID-19, with a maximum of 357 people to be recruited.
The categories of vulnerable employment groups include those who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19, low-income individuals, persons with disabilities, single-parent families, female heads of households, North Korean defectors, and at-risk youth.
The recruitment fields consist of 92 projects in three areas: ▲daily quarantine ▲cultural and artistic environment maintenance ▲emergency support for public tasks, mainly involving quarantine work to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Working conditions involve working 15 to 30 hours per week for four months depending on the project, from May 3 to September 30, with an hourly minimum wage of 8,720 KRW, weekly and annual leave allowances, and coverage by the four major social insurances.
Residents who wish to participate should submit the application form, consent form for personal information provision, verification documents for vulnerable employment groups, and other required documents by visiting their local community service center by the 19th.
