According to Jeju Special Self-Governing Province on the 12th, 2 people were confirmed positive as of the previous day, classified as Jeju cases number 662 and 663.
The number of people tested for COVID-19 the previous day was 1,034.
Jeju case 662 was identified as a tourist who arrived from Seocho-gu, Seoul.
He was confirmed positive during quarantine after developing symptoms following arrival and was tested at a screening clinic before entering self-isolation.
The three family members who arrived with him all tested negative and are currently in self-isolation.
Jeju case 663 was confirmed to be a foreign worker residing in the province.
A total of 36 confirmed cases have been reported in Jeju so far this month.
In particular, among the 17 cases confirmed from the 9th to the previous day, 11 were identified as contacts of locally infected individuals.
